Baldwin Vista is the southwest corner area of Baldwin Hills, a neighborhood in Los Angeles about 5 miles west-southwest of Downtown L.A.  The western side of the neighborhood is bordered by the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, the southern side runs along Stocker Street, and the northeast side ends along Santo Tomas Drive.  Although not defined officially, Baldwin Vista is recognized by residents and realtors as part of Baldwin Hills.  The neighboring communities are Crenshaw, Culver City, Jefferson Park, Ladera cp-ad-save-thousandsHeights, Leimert Park, View Park-Windsor Hills and West Adams.  Baldwin Hills also contains the neighborhoods of Baldwin Village, The Dons, and Village Green.  Baldwin Vista and other surrounding features and places are named for the famous 19th century land baron and horse racing pioneer, Elias J. “Lucky” Baldwin.  The area has some of the most beautiful and expansive views of the surrounding neighborhoods of Los Angeles, especially to the west and north where one can view Hollywood Hills and the iconic Hollywood sign.  From vantage points in Baldwin Vista, the skyscrapers of Los Angeles are back-dropped dramatically by the snow capped mountains of San Gabriel and San Bernardino.

Developed between 1947 and 1959, Baldwin Vista has some of the city’s best mid-century architecture and large lot sizes.  Many of the sprawling one-story homes still have room for front and back yards filled with trees, gardens, and beautiful landscaping.  The neighborhood offers peace and quiet but is only a few minutes’ drive to downtown Culver City which offers a large selection of shopping and restaurants.  Also not far are the many districts of Downtown Los Angeles with theaters, museums, restaurants, and retail stores.

Corey Chambers is an experienced Real Estate Broker who can help you find bank owned, company owned, and off-market listings, to get the best deals on homes – homes for sale and even those not listed.  Unadvertised and unlisted homes can be found in most neighborhoods of Los Angeles, and can save thousands or tens of thousands of dollars off listing price.  By providing this info, buyers feel in control and not pressured to buy a home.  Most real estate agents will beg buyers to come to the office and then waste your time driving you house to house hoping they can choose one you will like- Corey Chambers will guarantee your satisfaction in writing!

The SoCal Home Blog gives advantages to buyers and sellers with information about homes, houses, condos and lofts, whether near a desert oasis like Palm Springs (called the movie colony by some), or the snowy peaks of the San Gabriel Mountains.  We will help you find the top homes to buy or rental income properties with a positive cash flow- many of the most popular areas and neighborhoods in SoCal actually have negative cash flow for investors and owners.  Our goal is to help buyers find the best investment house or condominium.
